Frequently Asked Questions
Appointments
How soon can I get an appointment?
We aim to offer same-day or next-day appointments whenever possible. You can check availability and book directly via our online booking system.
Do I need a referral from a GP or other healthcare provider?
No referral is required to book an appointment. However, if you’ve previously seen a GP or consultant, any letters or imaging reports (e.g. MRI, X-ray) are helpful in shaping your treatment plan.
How long does a session last?
Initial assessments are usually 60–90 minutes, depending on the service. Follow-ups are typically 45 minutes unless otherwise specified.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable clothing—shorts and a loose-fitting t-shirt are usually best. Please also bring water, as your session may involve exercise-based treatment.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
If you have any relevant scans, referral letters, rehab plans, or private health insurance details, please bring them along. This helps us tailor your care effectively.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring a friend, parent, or family member if it makes you more comfortable—especially for younger clients.

Services
What’s the difference between physiotherapy and performance sessions?
Physiotherapy appointments focus on pain, injuries, and rehabilitation. Performance sessions are designed for athletes looking to boost strength, movement quality, and sport-specific performance—even if they’re not currently injured.
What’s the difference between a general assessment and an in-depth assessment?
A general assessment focuses on your symptoms, medical history, and basic movement testing. It’s ideal for straightforward injuries or initial guidance.
An in-depth performance assessment provides more time and a deeper dive into your physical profile. It includes objective testing using advanced technology like VALD Force Plates, NordBord, and ForceFrame to measure key metrics such as strength, imbalances, neuromuscular control, and force output. This is especially valuable for return-to-play, injury prevention, and performance optimisation.
If you’re unsure which to book, feel free to contact us and we’ll guide you based on your needs.
Do you offer online consultations?
Yes, online appointments are available for follow-ups, progress reviews, or performance planning. You can book these via the same system.
Do you work with sports teams or clubs?
Yes, we support both individual athletes and entire teams. If you're a coach or team manager, reach out to discuss packages, screenings, or workshops.
Private Health Insurance
Can I claim physiotherapy sessions on my insurance?
Most health insurers offer partial reimbursement, depending on your provider and policy. Please check with your insurer before attending.
